I called Senator Nelson to log my opposition for the bailout. I asked the staffer what Mr.Nelson's position is: Mr. Nelson believes that the bailout should include relief for homeowners and guarantees that the taxpayers will not lose any money in the bailout. He also believes that the Wall Street executives who created this situation should not walk away with lucrative compensation packages. |

I also spoke with Senator Nelson's office and was told that he won't make a decision until the bill comes out of committee. I then asked if had a stand one way or the other on the bill that had been before the House, and was told that since the bill didn't pass, there was no bill to take a stand on. What kind of double speak is that? Obviously, Senator Nelson doesn't want his constituents to know where he stands until he votes. |

According to the District office Senator Nelson would have voted NO had it gotten to the point of being brought to him. No answer at his congressional office. |

Here's my letter:
I am disgusted by the dirty politics that are taking place with the bailout bill. It is unconstitutional for this type of bill to come before the Senate before it comes before the House. For the Senate to attach this bill to a renewable energy tax incentive bill simply to sidestep the U.S. Constitution is deplorable. Anyone involved in this disgraceful action is not living up to his oath of office and certainly will not receive my vote in November. I urge you to listen to your constituents who do not want this bailout. I also wish to remind you of your sworn oath to uphold the Constitution. Any senator with an ounce of integrity and honor should vote against the bailout bill.
With 86% of Americans opposing any bailouts, you would think Congress would get the point. I urge you to vote NO on any Senate scheme to incorporate a bailout of any type. Cut Spending.
No bail out for Wall Street, lets bail out the streets the americans live on......we didn't mess up, they did. We had to bail out the car manufactures, airlines.....its our turn.
Taxpayers should not be responsible for bank's bad decisions. We work hard each and every day to ensure we make the right decisions for our family, I would not take on something that I knew would put my family or my faith at risk.
